Introduction:One Mild Steel pressure Vessel, complete with hand hole, Charging hole, perforated bed support Plate, Special Plastic Strainers, Painted externally with a protective coat of Red Oxide primer and Internally with anticorrosive paint and also complete with pipe lines, Valves, pressure Gauge, Sampling Cock etc.

Operation:Raw water when allowed to pass at predetermined feed water pressure through the I. R. Filter comes in contact with highly energized Catalytic Filtering Media (CFM). Normally in ferrous form iron remains desolved in water, CFM instantly oxidizes the dissolved iron to precipitate insoluble Ferric Hydroxide which remain in suspended forms as impurities and makes the water appear redish brown, Ferric hydroxide thus precipitate get entrapped within the filtering bed along with other suspended impurities. Water now free from iron and other impurities is allowed to pass through the customers service line. The entrapped iron and impurities are later on removed from the filtering bed by a process called Backwashing in situations where iron contact is very high say 2 ppm or above some special accessories such as alum doser, Aeration Chamber, Air Compressor are incorporated to the above platn.
